Our instructor studied Illustration at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and has been featured in art galleries in Montana, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, & New Hampshire. She completed classes in fine art, and acquired an abundance of experience teaching all ages. Here’s a few words from a local Montana Artist and Teacher at MSUN, Joel Soiseth:

“I have known Jess since she came to Montana 8 years ago. At that time, she visited my studio to inquire about the art program at MSUN and opportunities for artists in the area. During that visit she showed me a portfolio of her past work and I was quite impressed with her technical talent and the breath of her stylistic range. 

Subsequently, getting to know Jess, I knew her to be a very motivated and industrious worker, enormously competent in her craft and determined to explore and expand her creative skills. We spent many hours in the studio together, working, sharing ideas with each other, discussing media and, essentially, as all artists do, learning from one another. 

Jess is also a patient and compassionate teacher, having taught art at the Boys and Girls club here in Havre. She seemed genuinely committed to sharing the art experience with the children in her classes and demonstrably cared for those kids. 

In summation, Jessica is a talented, creative artist, skilled, adaptable and receptive to new ideas and directions. I am happy to recommend her, without reservation.”
